An information post after yesterdays budget on changes to Stamp Duty.
Second homeowners including buy to let will see an increase from 3% to 5% with immediate effect.
New purchases will pay stamp duty on any purchase above £125k, this is effective from April 2025 and replaces the existing threshold of £250k.
The exemption for First Time Buyers will reduce from £425k to £300k. Effective from April 2025.
